Welcome!

Folks who hold marginalized identities (like neurodivergent, queer, and BIPOC folks) have historically been met with messages that teach “you are wrong”, “you’re not worthy”, and “you don’t belong here.”

Not only are these messages incorrect and unfair, they can also keep you in survival mode and prevent you from learning about yourself and what you need to thrive.

Counseling doesn’t start out focused on thriving. We will start by reflecting on your basic needs and making sure that you are surviving. Only then can we explore what being functional at baseline looks like in your day to day life. At this point, we will explore coping skills and creative outlets. This is also the time when we’ll explore connections and safe spaces. Beyond that, we will work towards moving your baseline to thriving and a globally more positive experience by authentically embodying your values.

Mission

On the way to becoming, all good bread needs to rest before it can rise. In counseling, we’ll explore what you need and value as well as skills to support you in taking care of yourself (rest). We’ll also find ways to connect you with your community and create and perpetuate belonging (rise).

The mission is to work towards equity, liberation, and beyond for all of us.
